Crisp's jab was so weak it made me laugh. Of course if Crisp was my teammate and I had seen him down on the ground with all the Rays taking shots at him I would've gone the hell off. I'm shocked his teammates didn't do more to avenge the way they had him down on the ground.

Dan Uggla is a beast.  Wish we had someone like that on this team.

That sounds sort of funny considering the way natsaddict dogs him all the time.

He is very underrated while Hanley is overrated.  Uggla is killing him in all categories.

Dukes looks like a potential beast if he can put it all together. He is definitely the more polished of our young outfielders.

Hanley is an "overrated" superstar.

a bench-clearing brawl gets a standing ovation.

Milledge just doesn't have it.  Dukes has picked it up, but we can't base anything off this game because that pitcher is worse than Colome.

I wouldn't say he's killing him in all categories. He's better in some of the power stats but Ramirez has more stolen bases and is a better fielder.

could this be the breakout game for Dukes?  or will he regress?

that's the question.....

They usually do, though.

I didn't even notice that until you mentioned it. They should've defended their player a little better.

Fielding is a wash.  They are both below average fielders.

Everytime I get my hopes up it backfires so I'm not even going to consider it.

I don't know how you arrive at that conclusion. I don't know ANYONE who would take Uggla over Ramirez, other than you of course.

well you gotta consider...Dukes hasn't really had an offensive game this good all season. so there really wasn't much to get your hopes up for.

I didn't say that.  I said Uggla is very underrated.  He's going to hit 40+ home runs this year.

He's made good contact today. I think he's saying screw it to all the pitch-watching. It was getting him some walks, but he was watching a lot of good pitches, too.

A 3 run HR for the pitcher? Good night Tim. Ouch.

warm up the pen, right now.

he just gave up a 3-run HR to a rookie pitcher in his first ML at-bat.

Apparently too long.  Redding is quickly becoming a bum.

I meant about the team in general and some specific players. I have 't had my hopes up for Dukes at all this season but I can see why he is spoken of as possessing such a high ceiling. He definitely has skills, tools and intangibles. He has been looking more locked in as of late and hopefully it's just a matter of time before we hand him a spot and not worry about it anymore.

This is precisely why I hate hearing all this praise for Redding. He falls apart and looks horrible. Guzman should be our AS representative.

Is it just me or does it sound at times as if Bob Carpenter is inwardly pulling for the Cardinals?
