Just when you thought Ryan Zimmerman can't get any more amazing he pulls off that rabbit trick in the 9th, absolutely unbelievable play, and a great game, this team is on a roll!

Just wait until Marquis gets it going and Strasburg and Wang replace Olsen and Stammen. This team is legit*

unless they are playing the Phillies and Phillies Umpires.

Wow looks like I missed a hell of a game, I only caught the bottom of the eighth on. Great game by Livo, that guy is a real pro and I'm glad he's pitching for us this year. Glad to see the bats and pitching on the same page this game. Lets go for the sweep tomorrow.

Well they started 2008 at 3-0, so perhaps rotoworld is using a lower limit for games played.

Shame on you.  It was 2008.  They were never above .500 in 2007.  They were 3-2 in 2008 and that was the last (and only) time aside from 2005.

On MASN, they said that Livan's 16 scoreless innings was the longest for a National to start a season, but Ron Villone went 17 scoreless innings to start. Does he count because he got called up in May? I want to know the answer. We can't have Villone's name on a legitimate record.

For Villone, 0 ER's. Big distinction.

EDIT:

19 appearances. Someone should add up the innings.

He also allowed 0 runs in that time span unless they count inherited runners.

Check appearance 15 - 2 runs scored.

Same with 4 and 11. It was a mirage.

Last time they were above .500 this late in the season was 2005.

I metroed back from work around 4 and did not really notice too much ballgaem traffic.  I get off the metro and start going up the escalator.  I walk by a family with a kid in a Sheets jersey.  I try being friendly and ask the father, "so you guys go to the game?"  He said yes, and I asked "how'd it go?" not knowing the score. He said it was a tough game for the Brewers, but the guy was cool.  I said I hope he enjoys the rest of his day and time here.  If I had asked a Fillies fan, I'm sure I would have gotten an F-bomb, either from the Dad or his 7 year old.

What I like about these guys is I think the Filly first game and some of the guff up there has made them p.o.'d.

That was an inherited runner. That doesn't count.

Only because of arcane, outdated rules. Check if Herschiser let any inherited runners score, or unearned runs. It's garbage.
