Why did Desmond sacrifice there with no one out and the middle of the order coming up? Why give them an out? Especially since he owns Lowe.

The troll learned to count. Wow.

Also, if Lannan gives up 3 or 4, that ERA bloats instantly. 12 innings is, shocker, a small sample.

He's such a freaking idiot he wouldn't understand that concept.

We already know what we have with him.  A speedy, smart, defensively excellent OF whose bat will likely be above average for CF once we dump off TFlush.

This. And I'll add, he should indeed be playing everyday.

JMU or one of the folks who are comfortable using pitch/fx or looking at video - when this game is up on Brooks Baseball or whatever, could you look at Lannan's past few starts and some of the ones before he was sent down and see what sort of changes there have been to delivery, velocity, movement, etc ...?  Love to see someone explain the alchemy.

I did a write up about it... but it was shot down.

Basically the use of a two-seamer was killing him.

Give me 10 mins or so and I'll run through it.  I'll take a look at this and his last start vs a few of the stinkers he had earlier in the year.
