I'm back to reality. That streak had me thinking playoffs were a possibility.
I was hoping we'd take 2 of 3 in this series and then kick some ass back at home.

Looking like we will be on the wrong side of a sweep after tomorrow and good bye to .500.

Amen. Oh well I officially think this game is over and I usually don't throw in the towel until the last out. But this game just doesn't feel like it's gonna go our way. And really hasn't since the Morse DP in the very first inning.

You cursed us!

But really, JZ should put us in good shape tomorrow to take one.

Awful, BP fastball.

This series has been excruciating. And the definition of pathetic pitching.

If we can win tomorrow, it would still be a 3-3 roadtrip which isn't bad at all. Most good teams tend to go .500 on the road, and then take care of business at home.

However, this game is officially over. Kind of an ass whooping now.

This'll wreak havoc on our run differential.

This isn't regression.  They're not this bad.

Regression happens like this: a reliever is just as likely to have a really good streak as he is an equally bad one.  Over time, these streaks average out.  This is absolutely regression.

I thought Mattheus was unavailable tonight?

Hell, even if we had scored all the runs we should have scored we'd still be losing.

Just an embarrassing pitching performance. Getting behind batters all night and then giving in with bad pitches.

You could also lower your average.  This isn't like a series of coin flips.

As factual as your thinking is, I just don't like it. Simplifying the way we all think with mathematical facts is just sort of.. disheartening?
