Crowd was awesome - I can't imagine how amazing it must have been to be there

Charlie's call when that ball soared over the left field wall was amazing -

WELL DONE ALL!!!

Wish I could. Have to leave around 2am for Va Beach for work. Thought about risking it, but I think i'd have to leave straight from the game on no sleep.

Best game I've ever been to, sat in 135 and our section stood and started chants the whole game it was unbelievable. When Werth hit that homer it was absolute pandemonium

I'll be at Game 5. Scoreboard Pavilion. I'm bringing a date, and I'm pretty sure this will be her first professional baseball game ever...should be interesting

Is she going to ask what a PH is like the person sitting behind me yesterday?

The Metro today was filled with people who had clearly never taken the metro to Nationals Park before (or taken the metro, period). I was afraid that this meant that the stadium would be packed with non-fans and bandwagoners.

Didn't seem to be the case: I was shocked by how many jerseys of people who played on this team 5-7 years ago I saw in the stands.

The more the Park is filled with Nats fans the better - even if they're new to baseball. Games like tonight are how you become a life long fan.

I usually enjoy sitting near a newbie and answering their questions - most of them really appreciate it when you make an effort to make them part of the event.

That's how fan bases are built - one newbie at a time

They kept telling me (some not so nicely) to stop being so negative. Well I'll be damned if the team didn't deserve negativity yesterday, that really pissed me off. Then they would say something that showed that they had never watched baseball before.

Yeah

That's annoying - I get it

The thing is, after 7 seasons of baseball that only Philly deserves, I had had enough. That playoff game was the Wil Cordero of playoff games. Yeah, I was grumpy and loud, too freaking bad. Someone who watched 2-3 games this season for the first time just doesn't get it like you and I do. I get what you are saying, however.

Also, people kept hitting me in the head with the rally rags.

Would be good to meet.  this will be my first baseball playoff game since Os-Indians in 1997 (we'll not count NCAA Eastern Regionals and MLS Cups).

Folks who were there - Is meeting in the Red Loft in a spot still possible or is it so crowded you can't do it?

It was pretty damn crowded 1/2 hour before start time, no clue about 2.5 hours before start time.

It isn't impossible but it would not be pleasant. It reminds me of a crowded college bar. I'd say picking a part of the scoreboard walk would be a better bet but there are no happy hour specials for the playoffs.

but that is admitting defeat!

I'm guessing getting to the Porch bar is going to be tough, so the customary up and down the spiral stair case to the Loft would not work.  I like having a view of the field before the game.  Let's take some suggested spots.
