Android tabs generally aren't that much cheaper, at least not the ones that are worth anything. typically 350-400 for the base models, I believe (Asus Transformer sans dock, Galaxy II Tab, etc.), but IMO the iPad is still much nicer to use, so saving a hundred bucks isn't that compelling (to me, anyway, can't speak for everyone)
I haven't really given them a shake yet, but I do notice every.time.you.post.from.one 
All I really care about for a tablet is does it browse the web smoothly. Most Android tablets I've tried out can't even switch home screens smoothly 
Which you do get with iOS. It can't be the specs so is it just Android in general or the manufacturers not being arsed to actually get things working right like gpu acceleration?
