when i went to spring training, i was at alfonso's first game in LF, and it was hilarious (we were in the bleachers by LF) listening to people heckle him and cheer him for anything, even just running to the dugout

I hold my breath every time its hit out to left, luckily he hasnt done anything too bad.

Ortiz is looking much better since that first inning.

We need runs tonight.  We need lots of runs.

...and we need a few hits at the bottom of the order.

soriano makes the catch! woo!

I wonder if there will be people at home games clapping and cheering every time Soriano makes a routine catch?

i'll be breathing heavy sighs of relief.

Ramon Ortiz maintains his 1.000 batting average

They're trying to wear him out by making him run the bases every time up

Or in all seriousness, I suppose it's possible they just wanted to get our leadoff hitter out of the way so we didn't have a 1-2-3 lineup in the next inning. *shrug*

You really suck if you give a pitcher a hit.

Do you think its possible, just in theory, if we threw water on Patterson and Livan they would multiply and we can have their clones become starters as long as we don't feed them after midnight?
