I have a bad case of Not Giving A freak Syndrome. (NGAFS.) All of the interesting teams are out. Us, Baltimore, Oakland, and Cinci were all fun teams that were different from the normal teams we see in the playoffs, but they're all gone. Who's left? Boring teams. None of the remaining teams are interesting in any way, and I don't give a freak which of them wins.

Same.  I mean, if I HAVE to root for a team It'll be the Giants but I just don't care anymore.  At least I'll be able to watch DEXTER on time on Sunday.

I had the Giants making it to the Series in my preseason prediction, (I had them losing to Tampa, which obviously won't happen.) so it'd be cool if they got there, but I don't really care. I do like Hunter Pence though.

Got to agree. I don't give a crap who wins anymore, the only other teams I wanted to root for were the A's and the O's. Don't think I'll be watching many of the postseason games.

Should be a pretty good NLCS - features the winners of the last two World Series.

And AM-980 is even carrying Yankees-Tigers game 1 tonight instead of an out-of-market college football match like this past Saturday! (No NLCS tomorrow though - Sundays it's Redskins, Redskins, Redskins on 980, especially with the 16.25 kick-off which means even a goodly chunk of Sunday Night Football will get pre-empted.)

Yeah, as I mentioned in the other thread, I don't even know if I'll watch.  I probably will, but I'm not really feeling it right now.

I know the feeling - my interest in a league generally ends once the local side is done for the year...for instance, I generally don't follow the Stanley Cup playoffs once the Caps are done, or the NFL playoffs if the Redskins aren't in.

Right now DC United just need to get a point today to clinch their first playoff berth in five years, and Wizards season is 2 1/2 weeks away. Life goes on.

I normally watch the playoffs religiously and am excited for them, but after last night, I'm not there right now.

I want the Cards bounced.

Won't be watching, though.

I should be rooting for the Tigers to bring a title back to Mike the hitch Ilitch, as well as the crumbling city of Detroit, but I won't be able to get into it.

I want the cards and yanks to get pounded into the ground.  I want to see pictures of Cardinals fans crying after the ruthless beating the Giants are about to give them.

I want the Cardinals swept because they're holding a position that's undeserved.  They're supposed to be crying in their Busch beer, right now.

I'm a poor excuse for a "Yankee fan" for not knowing this. 8)

They were better than their opponent so I don't see how they are not deserving.

Hey, some people here think I'm a Yankee fan, and I'd hate to shatter their illusions.

When you're losing 6-0, particularly the way they won, a lot of things had to go right for them.  If one fewer thing goes right, a strike call in the 9th for example, and they lose, they're no longer the better team?

I will give you that they are the more fortunate team.  Literally, fortune favored them.

it's going to be very very tough to watch the Yankees and Tigers tonight, but I'll remain content by the fact that I'm not watching the Orioles and Tigers.  Today would have been even more painful if Baltimore had moved on.

beating us isn't deserving of a NLCS spot?

I think the win was undeserved because of the entire series of events that had to happen for it to take place.

5 games is not enough time to see who the better team is.
