I freaking disagree.

The FCC agrees if a Republican is president. Seriously, they were cracking down on gd's on the radio a few years ago.

Keep politics out of the game thread and shove them up your ass.

The difference between Atilano's minor league numbers and what he's done here, is STAGGERING!  He was almost Strasburg-like in the minors.

It's an interesting fact you moron, and relevant to the discussion of swearing on TV and radio. Bono's F Bomb at an awards show led to the virtually universal 5 second delay.

Why does the FCC care? Do they want deregulation? I would figure that Republicans would be stricter on that, promoting "family value" tv shows.

I would think that Janet Jackson caused it.

The scope is different. No one expects a naked boob at the Oscars.

The lack of run support makes this outing seem ten times worse.

The FCC enforces obscenity charges for TV and radio. I actually find the most objectionable content to be in commercials, but unfortunately that is regulated by the FTC from what I understand.

Are they serious? TV isn't obscene at all. No one is gonna have a heart attack if someone says freak.

Shows how important pitching/defense is which we lack.

the pitching is way over its head, Jon Garland is now back to being Jon Garland.  Their saving grace is a fantastic bullpen.  They will finish behind SF, LA and CO.

Atilano in Syracuse this year, 2-0 record, had a 1.64 ERA, 7.4 K/9, 4.5 K/BB and just 2 walks!

Deadly serious. After 10pm on the radio there's actually no limitations, which is how Loveline? with Adam Carolla and Dr Drew was able to be broadcast. The advertisers control the content far more than the FCC, though. You can do literally anything on cable, but Howard Stern could only get Girls Gone Wild as a sponsor and he didn't ever swear.

That doesn't mean they don't get it anyway.

Ask the late David Niven about this man's "shortcomings."

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition, either.

Atilano's start should be move to the end of the rotation.  Maybe one of the "cavalry" can get up here by the 20th.

This game is downright lousy!  Latos is coasting and Atilano is stinko.

I'm so bored I might be forced to turn on LeBron's over-dramatized announcement which I truly care nothing about.

I think Batista would be a better starter than Atilano.
