It just sucks to let all these runs go to waste. It's happened two nights in a row. Our offense has been great this series and with average pitching we sweep the series. The starters have been awful and the relief has been no better.

+1 (or this as some of you like to call it 8) )

Hanrahan is an ok middle relief flame thrower, but he is way too much of a mental spaz to have a closer role. If he can't deal with these games in a lost season, why would anyone think he could handle games that matter. He needs a psychotherapist.

MOST FRUSTRATING LOSS OF THE SEASON, NO DOUBT.

Our pitchers can go jump off the Empire State Building for all I care.

If we go into next season with this same group of pitchers we are screwed.

We need a team psychologist in general.  What the hell is with the players on this team?  The mental frailties of players like Lopez, Ayala, Bergmann, O'Connor, and Hanrahan have been astounding.

He really does seem to pitch better when he pitches as an actual closer (w/ the lead in the 9th). He's pretty good w/ that kind of pressure. I really don't get why he's never been very good in these situations.

This might have been the worst pitching performance, over a series, this entire season.  Even below average pitching could have won this series for us.  We didn't even need average pitching!

*sigh* Joel should never be the closer unless he can pitch consistent for one inning. (Kinda hard to ask for with this team)

The offense, too. I hope you haven't forgotten how terrible they were.

Whenever Hanrahan pitches it means we're closer to losing the freaking ballgame. That's the only acceptable use of closer and Hanrahan in the same sentence.

QFT, PC. What a complete waste of two straight phenomenal offensive performances.

Can't stand Ayala. Look at him pumping his 92 MPH fastballs in the strike zone. He threw all fastballs to Dukes.
