A mutual option for a second year isn't any different than a one year deal, so i'm fine with that, as long as we're not on the hook for 2014. (And Morse was fine at 1st, not a gold glover, but good enough.)
The mutual option would be for a third year. Laroche is a LH power bat we need that in our lineup & we need a first basemen who can bail zim & desmond out they're not the most accurate.
