No issue with Mock here. Tell him to keep throwing strikes and stay aggressive. He just induced a ground ball that the 2B could not handle. 5 degree angle from being a DP.
Riggleman needs to sit his freaking ass in the dugout. he is always so quick with the hook. I hate that

That's it. 8 freakin run lead. You throw strike and get outs. It should be mathematic at this point. Mock is a cocky bastard. Make him suck it up.

embarrassing.

9 runs of support and we can't even get 6 innings from our starter.

how in the freak do they expect the bullpen to perform well when they have to throw 3-4+ innings every night?

this game is now in jeopardy.

This is why Riggleman shouldn't be the manager next year.  You have to let your pitchers get themselves out of these situations, especially when you're not playing for anything.  What the worst that will happen, we'll lose?

This is a terrible decision by Riggleman.   >:(

What's the adage ... good pitchers get 2 jams and great pitchers get 3.   How many did Mock get ?

The game isn't over, Bob.  We just have to keep scoring and that would have been the case if the score was still 9-1.

This is not preparing these pitchers for when we might actually be competitive.  Josh Beckett gave up homerun after homerun after homerun Sunday night and Francona didn't come close to taking him out.

...and the Red Sox were losing!

QFT. It's worse with our minor league teams. Guys like Balester were only pushed 5 innings a start in AAA all year so it's no surprise that when they get up here they fall apart by the 6th inning.
