if Rendon were called up, he could get his majority of starts at 2B, with giving Zim an off day here or there (or moving Zim to DH).

i just think his bat plays too well for him to be still in the minors.  especially when the big league club is absolutely scuffling for offense.

at some point you have to say, well ya know what, it's worth the risk.

this guy obviously was highly touted and has a lot of college accolades.  all he has done in the minors is hit.

is anyone saying if he were to come up here he'd be the savior right away?  no.  but he gives a competent bat in the line-up.
I am not wanting Rendon to be a serviceable bat right now, I want him to be a star bat for the next decade. Right or wrong, scouts and other player development guys are telling Rizzo he needs more time in the minors to make that hope become a reality.

whoa whoa whoa.  while i may not call him the savior, i wouldn't say he'd be just average.  he'd probably be the 4th-5th best hitter on the team.  that would help.

Rendon is not in the lineup for Harrisburg this morning.  Nothing on Twitter about a call up or injury.  It could just be a day off.

Either he's being called up or being traded.

(Probably neither, I doubt if they'd fly him out to San Fran for a single afternoon game and there is no reason to sit him today to call him up on Friday.)

yeah if anything, they'd want to play him today/tomorrow (both 11 am games) and then send him to DC after that.

I hope it isn't a worst case scenario of an injury though I think they would have released info on that as well.  Perhaps just a normal day off???

My guess, as well. This will be Rendon's first professional season...play six games a week, ride the bus, eat hotel food.

The teams really need to do more about getting these guys better food.

Absolutely agreed. It baffles me that we prepare athletes for the bigtime by feeding them literally the least healthy diet on the planet.

You could have 10 of them and it still wouldn't be enough.

The nearest one to me is about 35 minutes away, but there are rumors of them opening one up about 10 minutes from my door. I will get much fatter if they do open up. Much fatter.

They have one in Columbus, OH for sure... slowly but surely making more Americans fatter each and every day, with a smile.

You  know, at some point the ESPN police are going to track you down and ask why you do not accept their awards show as perfect.

Can't think of two worse fast food places than Steak and Shake and Sonic.  Maybe Checkers.

I thought you'd say Taco Bell.

Taco Bell is the crap. Doritos Tacos FTMFW.

In N Out Burger is horribly overrated. So is Sonic/Checkers (which seems like the same thing to me).

The only thing I love about Sonic is the ability to make some insane drinks.  Their slushes and lime-aid drinks are legit.

Not Sure If Serious.

Five Guys owns all when it comes to Fast Food.... I had a little bacon cheeseburger and cajun fries yesterday. It was legit. I try to tell everyone that is all about In and Out that they are missing out. That should mean a lot coming from a California Kid.
