wil nieves stop pulling balls you are not a power hitter.

and btw '360' has no baseball instincts.  he makes the dumbest bonehead plays, i'm glad the front office is looking for a new second baseman next year.  he's nothing more than a utility back up infielder/pinch runner.

Who? Wil Nieves hits one to the wall (that's caught and ends the inning).

Nieves was with Yanks around that time also

Why didn't Manny just put Burnett in the pitcher's spot and then pinch hit for him after the inning instead of double switching for Belliard

His WHIP is 1.14.  His stats in 2009 are the best of a mediocre career.

Sean Burnett

And promptly gives up a homer

Sean Burnett

It looks like he blew out his arm at some point.

Home run. Didn't take him long to get infected with the dreaded Nats bullpen disease.  :bang:

"He's (Sean Burnett) a four-pitch guy who commands the ball better than any of our other pitchers. He changes speeds and throws all of his pitches in locations where he wants to. He is also a guy who is mature beyond his twenty-one years. His poise and composure make him different from other guys with similar stuff." - Pittsburgh Pirates Player Development Director Brian Graham on MLB.com (Ed Eagle, 03/08/2004)

I am saying him giving up a run, not the home run specifically.  It just is so predictable with our bullpen, we get a new guy and he makes mistakes right from the start.  I was hoping for better, but just had a feeling things would go as they usually do (i.e. badly).

Why didn't we go with a RHP for Ross and then bring Burnett in?

Burnett can get Vulture Win in his debut, if he can stop them and we miraculously score.

Is Fredi G paying off Manny to tank against the Marlins?? Why the freak do you bring in a lefty specialist to face Cody Ross?!

he'll fit right in.

still the turning point of this game was when hernandez couldn't knock in a run with a man on 3rd and 1 out.  that two run lead looks a lot better than one run lead.

and p.s. that 2-2 pitch to carroll was a strike.  called '360' out on that one.

because the Nats insist that every LOOGY they bring in is actually a pitcher that can pitch to RHH and LHH.
