Anyways, Belly owns.

He needs to be starting more than every Sunday.

Mets up 6 - 2 over Florida in the 8th. Philly walloping Lanta 13 to 3... Davies gave up 8 runs in 4+ innings.

Glad to see Belly getting the start today. I really think he should be our everyday 1B. Dmitri despite his batting, is lucky to have a roster spot.

Young's defense is ghastly. He ruined that play by Zimmerman.

There are multiple ways of getting him in the starting lineup. He could fill in at second or SS occasionally, he can also get a spot start at 1B and he may even be able to give Zimm a much needed day off from time to time. That's more than 1 start per week but it's also nice to have his bat available to come off the bench.

I think it's a hard call ... his bat has been on fire ... they don't win half the games they do on this streak without his bat ... still ... last night's 4th inning was a disaster ...

I think this was planned.  Right when our bats are getting together.  I think some of those cards must know some rain dances.

I hate the "family's coming so have to clean" feeling. I remember when my wife and I had just moved to NY. My parents called out of the blue that they would be to our apartment in 2 hours! I left my lab office (work study job) and cleaned like a dervish. Then I had to find and put out out the gifts they had given us that we hadn't displayed. Nerve-wracking

edit- obviously quoted the wrong entry there :-[  meant to reply to Kimnat having to go clean for a family visit

He would be best suited as a DH for an AL team.

Yes, instead we get to sit in RFK on for a day game on July 4th and watch our skin melt off our skulls ... and hopefully, another walkoff winner by ZIM!

Yes indeed - I was sitting right on the third base side ... as the ball sailed past me into the bullpen -- the place went Beserk ... and one of Charlie's all time great calls - "....Swing and a drive, deep left field, back goes Amezzega, way back, going, going and gone, Goodbye!! ZIMMERMAN DOES IT AGAIN!! ... btw ... right up until this week - you heard that call on the radio programs right before game time ... they've changed it now to Zim's walk off grand slam ..

I'm sure there is ... but I would have no way of knowing how to do that ... I could ask my 12 year old though ... I'm sure he could figure it out ... :)

Actually, I think the one heard on the radio was Zimm's walk-off against the Yankees.  I think he refers to Cabrera (as in Melky Cabrera) during the call.

They had both for a while - but the last call right before they changed it to this year's granny was the walkoff against the Marlins ...
