Can we just nickname him John "3 and a third" Lannan?

John 3:16   LOL

Giving Plush the benefit of the doubt that its just a slump.

I say platoon em for two weeks. If one vastly outplays the other, bench the lesser player full time.

maybe it lights a fire under Morgan and he returns to last years form, maybe Bernadiner just flat out beats the crap out of him.

its a win/win either way.
Plus you get to showcase Morgan a little bit just in case someone wants to pick him up.  It would be great if we could trade him rather than just keep him on the bench.

Stammen can at least strike guys out, and was 31K/16BB or 1.9/1 K/BB rate.
Lannan is 24K/35BB or 0.69.
Matt Chico might be a better left-hander.  He had 3 K's and 0 BB's in the 5 IP in 2010 here.

(Image removed from quote.)

Chico had a good looking start. Bring him up and one of the kids and send down Martin and Lannan.

just tuning in - Lannan is at the point where I wonder if he can even be a #5 in a rotation

If Walker comes in what are the odds he gives up a homer in this stadium?

This would be a Storen situation.

This is where I told you so had no pleasure at all attached to it. The league scouted John to death or he is really is hurt, but he is awful right now. His WHIP is out of control.

Last year Morgan was absurdly valuable on defense. Destroyed the rest of the league, head and shoulders above the rest.

exactly. Last Year Plush >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Now Bernadiner.

the question is, where did Last Year Plush go, and can we find hi again?

if not, then we got BNow ernadiner.

We've scored 4 runs in 4 innings and we're tied!  This sucks so much.

I think a coach needs to scream his head off at Morgan. His priorities are crap. Drop the dip, stop swearing, stop making up nicknames, start practicing. A lot.

The thing is that Morgan is a grown-ass man. This is Lastings Milledge, 22 year old kid silliness.

ok Chief, give me a hand getting up on that train please?

we can't win consistgently when 3 out of our 5 starters give up 5-6 in 5 innings runs every start.

it is really time for wholesale changes in our rotation.

4th   M Ordonez doubled to deep left center, R Raburn scored.   4   3
4th   C Guillen hit sacrifice fly to left, M Ordonez scored.

Nationals  4
        4

Both pitchers stink, but Detroit's can throw strikeouts.
Lannan is wearing out our fielders, like most of our rotation does.

I'm embarrassed that Strasburg has to see this and think, "WHY was I playing in the minors again?"

Oh, he may well have been, I didn't mean to imply otherwise.  But we have one reliable pitcher in terms of preventing inherited runners, and that's Storen.  He should be deployed at the moments of highest leverage in the game, and that we just saw.

I'm embarassed that JD Martin is starting a TV game. 7 runs should get you sent down.

the sad thing is that Lannan, Balester, Mock, Martin, Martis, Chico and Stammen are all basically the same person.

and that is ALL of our much-touted-by-Kasten "pitching depth"

Bally could make a good reliever. Mock is an awful reliever.

I'm just stunned that it's another season of castoffs and minor league free agents. These guys will pass through waivers, try something new, Rizzo.

Com'on Tom it's 8:45 and I'm drunk enough.  Don't be making me double think like that.
