Hitting is contagious... good thing we got rid of those bums Lo Duca and Lopez, best roster moves of the year.

If by complaining, you mean pointing out that his fastball was sailing on him in the first two innings, then yes.  Although it shouldn't be unexpected from SF.

People love to complain about him for some reason (not necessarily what you pointed out, though). I think it's because he's not 24 or younger.

Carpenter does it again. The no hitter will end this inning.

That might be it, but in fairness he looks 10 times better than he did in the first two innings.  I think some people may have jumped on him because he has certainly blown the game apart in the early running before.

I didn't think you believed in that stuff. (Unless you were joking)

You should send him a copy of the Jinx Cookbook.

Because of the one walk? I never worry about walks w/ vet starters on the mound. It's the hits that bother me. :D

His pitch count is too high (plus he usually falls to pieces in the 5th or 6th) for him to go the distance with a no hitter.

He was that awful in the first inning or two. He deserved all the ripping and more.

He's settled down nicely though. Props to Tim. He might pull a Ramon Ortiz Circa Labor Day 2006 but his pitch count is too high.

87 pitches, it's gonna be tough to pitch a complete game. We need him to get like a 10-pitch inning soon.

Not just the walk.  He got helped out in the those first two innings, one with a lucky strike call to end the second and some good defensive positioning by the outfielders.  I have rarely ever ragged on Redding, but the one thing I will knock on him is his lack of "veteran" confidence.  For a guy that has been in the league for awhile like him, his nerves get rattled pretty easily.
