Looks like nasty weather today.  I originally heard the storms would move in later, but Chuck Bell on Channel 4 just said they are four hours out, putting their arrival in the metro area right around 1:00.

Capital Weather Gang's NatCast for today is a bit more optimistic: 'Some sun should be around as the game gets underway, and there's a decent shot that we get through it all without any bad weather. However, a line of potentially damaging storms could be knocking on the door by game's end. Prepare for the possibility of it to arrive while out, just in case. Percentages indicate start and end of game rain risks' with 84-87 at first pitch, 86-89 by ninth inning, 20-40% chance of rain.

Weather.com's hour-by-hour precip chances:

12.00 - 10%
13.00 - 10%
14.00 - 10%
15.00 - 20%
16.00 - 40%
17.00 - 50%

---

I think this is hurting attendance too - after rain delays in each of the last four matches of the previous homestand, we've had a rain threat (or at least overcast) practically every day of this homestand.

I wish we had more 4:00 Saturday starts...it's hard to roll out of bed at 10, read the paper and drink coffee, and still have time for pre-game libations before a 1:05 start.

Capital Weather Gang NatCast today has 'After yesterday's 2.5 hour rain delay in the middle of the 9th, it doesn't get much better than this at the ballpark. Near perfect conditions to enjoy a drink and a half-smoke at Nats Park today' with mid-70's at first pitch, upper 70's by ninth inning, 5% chance of rain.

Headed to the game today with my fiancée. Plan to stop in the loft for a bit of pregame but will be in my seats for first pitch. Glad to be going instead of selling, was starting to feel like a ticket broker.

By the way, if you're a ST holder and you have one of those Free Promo tickets; leave it at home.  They were all out of promos as of last Wed.  There was a sign outside the Roosevelt room.  Hmm, situations connected to Teddy lose out again!

The team knows exactly how many season tickets they've sold, how hard is it to have enough inventory?  Just like the goddam season ticket holder event.

well, these promos are left overs that were not given out earlier in the year, so I can see them running out.

Daughter and I going to Wednesday game at Shea II. Planned it to see Strasburg's last start; however, saw Lanan's start against the Braves, when the team turned around from two losses and Lannan smothered Atlanta after the second inning. Hoping for similar against the Mets.

The three Met/Nats games are all dirt cheap on Stub Hub, by the way. Mets fans don't even seem interested in seeing the September call-up kids.

Yeah I know.  I was hoping for leftover messenger bags from Thursday.  They had leftovers from past years too.

For those attending this weeks homestand against the Dodgers.  Gio's birthday is Wednesday the 19th and Lombo and Desmand share the 20th....I expect to hear a rousing chorus of 'Happy Birthday' down at the ball park!

Well, I hardly think that warrants a "dammit" (sic).
