When does the manager lose the clubhouse?

Do the players just like Espinosa better than Lombardozzi and would somehow react badly to sending Espinosa down and starting Lombardozzi?  If that's not the case, they are watching Espinosa's at bats.  They see how much trouble he's having.

Would trying someone else at closer cause mutiny in the clubhouse?

Are Davey and Rizzo making clear, rational decisions that they could explain if they were forced to (which they, sadly, won't be)?

Davey just doesn't seem flexable- he places guys in certain positions and is blind to either their shortcommings or others potential
