Dammit I'm not going to be there early enough to get those. I don't want to wave it around but I'd still like one.

I think everyone's supposed to get one.

...and according to an E-mail that went out to STH earlier today, all giveaways during this post-season will be given at all entrance gates, not just the Centre Field Gate.

Ok that's good.

Great.  :panic: Now I need to learn how to embroider those nages to record the game and score for my commemorative towel collection. :w:

Oh I'm going to have to bother my mother's embroidery sewing machine then! That's a great idea.

Auspicious sign: I just walked around the corner to Radio Shack to buy a new radio to listen to C&D at the game tomorrow (flying solo for Game 3), and found a $20 on the sidewalk.  We've got this one.

I hate towels.

I'll grant the terrrible towel to the steelers.  At least then it was original.

Places like St Louis that wave white ones we call White Flags.  Only Cheese eating surrender monkeys wave white towels.

At least ours will be red.  Now I just have to find a bull to release on the field and hope enough people will be armed to make it a fair fight.

You can also argue that the white towels make it tough on visiting outfielders. It's funny to see the Cardinals continue to waive them after Adam Wainwright blamed the towels for the ball that hit Holliday in the nuts at Dodger Stadium to get swept in 2009.

"He lost the ball in ... 50,000 white towels shaking in front of his face," Wainwright said. "It doesn't really seem fair that an opposing team should be allowed to shake white towels when there's a white baseball flying through the air. Dodger blue towels, how 'bout that?"

Someone just stuck a petition on change.org asking MLB to allow a local TV station to air the game.  Might make people feel better to sign it:  http://www.change.org/petitions/major-league-baseball-show-the-washington-nationals-first-playoff-game-since-1933-on-local-tv

And who knows - sometimes these things do get some results if enough people sign and the publicity gets bad enough.

Deadspin picked it up, so maybe it will get some wheels. Sign it and share it on social media. Let's get some publicity for how bad MLB is screwing the Nats.

If anyone manages to find extra towels or can snag an extra one I'd love to have one. One of my cherished momentos of the LA Kings Stanley Cup run is a towel from a second round home game. I'm trying to collect momentos of the Nats run too.

Ha. I've got my towel from Game 3 of the SCF in LA and from Game 5 in NJ.

Even some Steelers' fans don't like the towel.   It's hokie  .....  like cheerleaders.

Who gives a crap, wave it.  The team deserves a full house that shows it cares.

That's why i don't like towels. I'd rather have both hands to clap. More noise!

I remember the White Towel I picked up at the Pats Ravens game in '07.  Cold night.  Used it as a doormat in my office for the rest of the year.

When I go to the playoff game, I'll just scream my lungs out and making Terrance look sedate.

Would this game be available to stream on MLB.TV, and not the channel itself?

It's on MLB Network, if you have it.

Nah, I don't have it.  I was wondering if it would stream on MLB.TV so I could play it on my Xbox since it's on MLB's own network and not TBS.

I'm not sure what the publicly financed ballpark has to do with this game not being available on TV for a large percentage of local residents, but it's still a load of crap, making people scramble to figure out alternative means of getting the feed.

They'll have it in some fashion, I'd imagine.  I think the intent is that it would compliment the broadcast, but I'm not sure if they have the actual broadcast or not.

USA Today posted an article trashing DC and the fans.

Gotta agree that anyone complaining about the 1 PM start time can STFU.  I remember as a kid heading to the school library to watch the afternoon playoff games.

I remember listening to Game 7 1960 in study hall.
