Yes, it's true. It's back.
I just couldn't resist now.
Haikus; too much fun.

random haiku thoughts from west coast trip
« Reply #130: May 24, 2013, 08:54:10 AM »
haiku thoughts that popped up at various times during the west coast swing:

DVR'd the games
the west coast trips wreak havoc
matinee baseball.

why is it my faith
in a Nationals comeback
is nonexistent.

don't like the Giants but,
added AT&T park
to my bucket list

thankful for pitching
that can win when there's only
three hitters hitting

we're gonna catch fire
poor play will not continue
wait until last year

we were way better
than the World Series Champion
Giants. that's why it hurts

we are now that team
others need to face to break
out of a slump/funk

why does the schedule
work so we face a Cy Young
candidate each game

if hitting really
is contagious, we should all
drink from Adam's cup

why I don't manage:
I'd make Suzuki starter
and bat him second

we are witnessing
the maturation of one
Stephen James Strasburg

have you seen Rizzo
since Ray Knight has been away?
a secret meeting?

Davey Johnson is
the Phil Jackson of baseball
wisdom comes with age

Davey to finish
and go out with ring: suit up
Ray Knight - manager

broadcast booth - dugout
move not unprecedented
Ray Knight bring F.P.

is the rumor true
that Ryan Mattheus is headed
to the MMA

Coach Steve McCatty
listens to FP. bring him
into the dugout

in baseball's season
you win fifty, lose fifty
sixty-two games count

of those games that count
we've lost a few already
it's later than we hope

FP said "buzz kill"
and then said "Doubles Desmond"
love me some FP

to be where we are
after playing so poorly
bodes well for season

home against Phillies
will tell all we need to know
about this years Nats

think I have a small
man crush on Kurt Suzuki

A second baseman
who gets on base fairly well
where have I seen one

oh yes, it is he
who plays that base fairly well
in town Harrisburg

A shot should he get
to bat after span in bigs
on base for Harper

whilst the troll that trolls
that position currently
finds his swings huge hole

may he fill it with
the contact fans do desire
from an infeilder

and as we speak on
the moves to be made hereto
let us look outward

outward onto the grass
where the fielder 4th in line
shant be roster waist

for willingham netted
not only a radar bum
but also a Corey

can we really say
that there would be drop off from
the Shark to Corey

young ones come up now
come to the capitol here
show us what you have

march out of our pen
throw strikes not balls and have some
of your own to hold

play the field for Nats
giving injured vets a rest
proving readiness

be the spark that these
our young but old dogs need now
and lift this city

play like kids in lots
win like men gathering spoils
and have the fans praise

face eating began
in Nero's Rome to help quell
social distortion

in the dark ages
face eating was cause celebre
"face fests" were common

Haiku flows easy,
like a cold, clear, mountain stream
when the Nats play well

yet, it gets plugged up,
like a shared, flophouse bathroom
when they play like this
