Gonzalez should ride the pine. Why isn't Belliard Morse starting?

Either is fine. Belliard has been hot lately. I mentioned Morse as a potential 2nd baseman, but I heard his defense sucks.

The third time through the batting order, the average BAA for our starters is .321!

Yeah, but we know what AlGo and Belliard offer.  Why not see what Morse can offer, we don't ave anything to lose.

I hope Josh breaks out of his funk soon. Maybe a change of venue will help.

the venue is not the reason for his slump. the Rockies and Brewers scouted him very well and have given the rest of the league the book on how to pitch to him.

he will not break out of his slump until he make adjustments at the plate or teams start pitching him differently. Hopefully the Cubs didn't read the scouting reports.  :|

Zambrano is the exact same type of pitcher as Gallardo. sinking fastball and a nasty slider. this team should hit him tomorrow night.

He's hitting the ball hard at times. I think it's just a slump. I hope I'm right.

When was the last time you saw Hammer take a pitch correctly to rightfield,  been awhile.

Riggleman giving service to Gallardo (Image removed from quote.)

Yes, the pitcher is so bad that he allows runner after runner after runner to get on base but suddenly gets good, at that point?

At the game again tonight, Alberto Gonzalez might be the worst situational hitter on the team. Zimmerman also, never moves the runner over when he's on second always tries to drive him in. Balester was throwing a gem, but I figured it was a matter of time before he got rocked. Terrible loss considering all of the LOBS we had.

There's probably a good reason why he gets back on track shortly after getting back to the minors.

God, another 100+ loss season... Another #1 pick...  :|

This level of concentrated, sustained badness might be unrivaled in all professional sports.  :'(
We're essentially a 4 year old franchise.  Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh have both had longer runs recently of futiliity than we've gone through so far.  The Tampa Bay Bucs were awful for decades and let's not forget the Saints and Bengals.  The Clippers and Golden State Warriors have been pathetic for decades as well.  All these teams have had moments of success, some recently, but they have all also been gawd awful for much longer than we have.  We're still a relatively young franchise.
