Livo hitting ... personally I like it ... Livo's a good hitter and pitching a fabulous game (plus a low pitch count)

Way to go Brian!!  Now, Livan doesn't have to lead off next inning!  and the Pads bring in a pitcher to face our pitcher, lol.

slightly humorous little tale.

at about 4:07 (give or take a minute) this afternoon, I was at work assisting a Customer when my Phone goes off.  it is my Text Message ringtone.

Now, I signed up for the Mobile Text Alerts from MLB.com, and I know that the game started at 4:05.  so it immediately comes to my attention that getting a text message at 4:07, when I know the first pitch time was 4:05 could only mean one thing.

the Customer I was assisting heard my ring tone(because it is Music, and it is loud), and looked at me quizzically, as if to say "ummm you know your phone is ringing right?"  so I look at my customer with a huge grin on my face and I say...

"Soriano just hit a Leadoff Home Run."

Customer(who happened to be wearing a Nationals Road Cap) says "Oh..........................really? that's what that was?  alright!!"

and then I took my phone out, flipped it open, and showed him the Text Message.

it's the little things that make Baseball so worth following. :)
Love to hear people around town rootin for the Nats...even when they aren't wearing a cap or T-shirt.  Just still getting used to it even though it's been almost two years we've had a team now.  What we've all been waiting for.

Livo, why swing with the count 2-0?? and our offensive blunders continue.  It will all be ok if Livan can keep mowing em down!

Does this remind anyone of the game against Sanchez in Florida, a solo home run was the difference in that one ... could very well be the same thing here, this time in favor of the Nats ...
