attendance is based on tickets sold, not on turnstile counts.

I know that...I'm a Mystics fan - I know all about dodgy attendance figures.

But who bought them? That franchise simply cannot have 20,000 season ticket holders...and earlier in the season there were several fixtures (including two on our first visit down there) that drew less than 11k. They must be selling super-deep-discount tickets that people end up not using...or handing out lots of freebies that they include in their attendance totals (does MLB allow this?)...or something...how else does one explain what must have been a no-show rate of over 90%?

Whatever the explanation...it was downright dead out there...Slowes and Jageler sounded like they were being taped in an empty room.
