Minor League Stat sources

Yes, I know most of the slicing and dicing of minor league info is GIGO, but what it is worth, there are a few sites that offer more the MiLB.com and that may be useful to folks.  One even has SIERA, which should make Sharp and PatsNats28 all  :woop: . Post away.

http://www.minorleaguecentral.com/

Can be accessed by player, team, or organization.  Oddly enough, the five players highloighted at the top of the home page are Bryce Harper and Matt Moore. Julio Tehran, Shalby Miller, and Jurickson Profar.  Here is a link to Harper's player page : http://www.minorleaguecentral.com/player.php?pid=547180

Here is Erik Komatsu, at the other end of the spectrum: http://www.minorleaguecentral.com/player.php?pid=518900
The standard stats show his huge drop off goign from one AA league to another.  .060 / .095 / .119 .  That can be gotten anywhere.  What this shows is that there really was not much of a change in his balls in play mix (LD%, GB%, FB%, Infield fly%, etc...), but his walk rate halved and his K rate spiked 50%.  Started flailing, seeing one fewer P/PA, swinging strike %  up 5%, contact down 8%, and, what seems to be the ah-ha revelation, he became unable to touch balls out of the strike zone when he swung.  He actually decreased his O swing % from 9% to 6.5%, but his O contact % dropped from 46.7% to 0%.

The site suggests that pitch data below AA is especially spotty, and that data comparisons like the one I just made across teams is discouraged because the data is from stringers with little QC, but the contact data looks like a severe deterioration.

Here is the link for Harrisburg: http://www.minorleaguecentral.com/team.php?tid=5472011
and Syracuse: http://www.minorleaguecentral.com/team.php?tid=5522011

There's pitching data too.  Millone: http://www.minorleaguecentral.com/player.php?pid=543548

We all know his great K/BB, but did we know his K swinging / K looking was 3.84?  Was able to live in the strike zone (62.9%) but about 10% of his pitches he drew swing and misses when he was off the plate (27% O Contact / 13% O swing). SIERA liked him - 2.51.  Even GB/FB, but a quarter of his flies were infield pops.  If you don't field like Freese, those are sure outs.

Another stat site -statcorner.com

All levels.  They do some advanced calcs on the team summary pages, like Syracuse
with some interesting things like park effects, while the player pages show basic and advanced stuff.  Bally and Antonelli.

bump.

question came up about minor league monthly stats for past season. MiLB wipes out monthlies at the end of the year.  Statcorner does not have monthlies.  I can't access minorleaguecentral at work. Perhaps they have it.

Aug/Sep:  .286/.368/.510
AFL:  .333/.400/.634
