Btw (totally random here), I was looking at some old Senators history and I noticed something that seemed odd.
For game 7 of the 1925 World Series (that the Senators lost
), Walter Johnson pitched all eight innings against the Pirates. I know that was common in those days, but he gave up 9 runs (!!!), 3 of which occurred in the 8th. Very puzzling that he was never pulled. If he gets a quick hook in the 8th, the Senators might win that game 7-6.
Did the Senators have a bunch of Joel Hanrahan clones in their bullpen or something?
I can just imagine sportsfan watching that game:
WTF!?!!!??? Bucky Harris is a freaking moron. Fire his ass for this crap!!
