Yes it is, but the Nats would have to lose out for that to happen.

Really, it's not in play because St. Stras will presumably make at least one more start. :mg:

What a great game for a 3 inning performance by Stras. It was clear he had nothing and he still kicked ass for the most part. Good HROD is Good.

He started out bad then remembered he has a slider and then pwned the Astros.

What ever happened to his changeup?  He used that pretty effectively in one game - don't remember which game.

I think we end up with the number of wins that almost everyone predicted - somewhere between 72 and 75.

Not me. I predicted 78-or 79 and for that to happen I would need us to win 12 of the next 17., Not impossible but since we are playing regularly with potential 2012 players a little more difficult. Also , I think a few players are wearing down from the long season.

Have not topped 70 wins since moving to Nats Park.  Second most wins since the move to Washington is 73 (2007). 6 wins down the stretch ties it.  7 - 11 beats it (assuming no make up game with LAD).  It can be done.

We have ONLY 17 games left. You probably did the 162 games and did not subtract the LAD game though you meant to. Give me 12 wins Nats'.Then I can die a happy man or live thru the off-season whichever comes first.

eh, pulled the record off a site that had not updated by 8 AM (B-R).  17 games - 7 - 10 is OK.

Nah, we need 12. A five game improvement sucks. This is a much better squad than that.

...or would it be presumptuous to want something as simple as back-to-back wins...something this team hasn't done since 21st/22nd August?
