Hasn't endeared itself to the fans? 12th in attendance in all of baseball

Somehow you ended up making his point for him.

If you think this city should be in the top 5 or something then you are under estimating how long it takes to build a fan base.

Which is why I'm glad we're celebrating the 10th anniversary/completion of 10 years, because it reminds people of that. Nats are consistently ranked above solid teams like the Braves, Reds, Pirates, and A's (especially) in attendance on a yearly basis. Then you have teams like the Rockies and Cubs which always rank above average. This season the difference between Texas, ranked 9th, and the Nats is an average of just 1,720 per game. Other factors like ticket prices and promotions play a part also.

So yeah, it will be a while before the Nats rank up there with franchises like the Dodgers, Cardinals, Yankees, Giants, and Angels (top five for 2014).

I wonder if all the game balls used at Nationals Park will have that logo on it? If so I need someone to snatch me a foul ball. Thanks.

this would be a good give away item during a promotion and would result in full employment in the DR or Haiti or whereever they make baseballs now.

Surely I'm not the one that needs to be lectured on that. In three years I've given away plenty of baseballs. Usually they are autographed. I've probably given 10 plus balls signed by both Desmond and Span just this year. Ian is particularly cool about it. He signed like 5 balls for me on the sweet spot when he found out I was giving them to the kids on a local tournament travel team. He even wrote "Go Smyrna" on them. One of the kids got one signed by Desmond, Matt Williams and Ramos. I usually find a kid wearing Nats gear at the park and hook them up. That doesn't  mean I can't add some cool stuff to my collection as well.

They can't throw a logo on a baseball that's actually used, it would be an eyesore on the baseball as it spun and look funky. Like JCA said, that would be a cool giveaway.

I was just messing around, but good on you Cope.

Agree, if for no other reason than their size disadvantage when going after a foul ball or HR

Pretty sure no, give it to a kid like adults are supposed to.

The 2005 baseballs had inaugural logos on them as well.

Game used commemorative balls are being used more frequently. No dime left unspent.

Terrible logo, but I rarely notice patches on players' arms, so I don't really care.

The “10 Moments of Thanks” program will be announced this week with the first of 10 perks for fans who have had season-tickets since 2005: a registration for the opportunity to buy tickets to the upcoming Winter Classic at Nats Park.

They are doing this like a birthday; if you were born in April 2005, in April 2015 on your birthday we say you turn 10.  You really just completed your 10th year and are starting your 11th year.

Logo is lame.

It's a fact that someone does not become 10 years old until his 10th birthday.  The Nats didn't complete 10 years in DC until completion of the 2014 season.  At no point during the 2014 season had the Nats been here for 10 years.

Frankly, I don't think I will live long enough to see the Nats compete in attendance with Dodgers, Cardinals, Giants, and Angels. Bigger cities, very established baseball cultures...But no reason they can't consistently be between 5-10.

Is the patch going to replace the one that's currently on the left sleeve?

Probably the right sleeve. Teams usually put those patches wherever there is space.
