Will be there today. Hoping the weather holds out. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Per current Yahoo! Weather:

Today: Partial cloudiness early, with scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon. A few storms may be severe. High 88F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. A few storms may be severe early. Low 72F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

...of course yesterday (as of the time I left to go to last night's match) they said we weren't going to get thunderstorms till after midnight, so....

Weather.com's radar shows a long line of storms moving in and possibly hitting DC by 1pm. However it is a thin line going at an angle. I'm confident this game is going to get in, just depends when.

Sounds like another West Coast game to me.

Billford Ludderfoot seems to be a bit confused:

Monday at Milwaukee, Lannan will take the mound for the 21st time this year, providing some stability for whichever Nationals backstop is behind the plate.

Did this game suddenly get moved?

Lannan's trying to become the next Iron Joe McGinnity (Hall of Fame pitcher from a bit over a century ago, famous for starting both ends of doubleheaders - and winning them too, more often than not).

...well he did get Monday's venue right, but....

Is Adrian Gonzalez going to sit out today? If he does, Lannan might have another CG shutout because the bullpen needs to be rested today.

Chad Gaudin (4-9, 4.82 ERA)

-Does not give up the long ball (6 HRs given up in 93.1 IP)
-Gets a lot of strikeouts (96 Ks in 93.1 IP)
-Will walk you (50 BBs in 93.1 IPs)
-Very tough against RH hitters (.217/.286/.332)

I'm not a baseball expert, but something about this seems really contradictory...

not really. He's on at times and racks up Ks and other times he can be wild and will walk a bunch.

thanks a lot NJ. you have to make contact there.

I can't believe how many sliders Gaudin is throwing. He likes that more than his fastball.

Both of these teams are so pathetic, you'd think they were tanking for draft picks or something.

are you serious Bob? Luis Rodriguez is a career .247 hitter with 8 HRs in 795 Career MLB ABs.

Lannan got hosed on those two hits. He needs to buckle down and get Gaudin.

What's the point if you can't sign the draft picks anyway?

This At Bat app is amazing.  I'm watching the Nats game...it's really clear, as good as on my PC.
