I'll reiterate as well: "Rollins, you're an idiot". We were undermanned this season too. We just have a better team.

I still say 9_to_5_are_u_kidding_me_??? was the best of the bunch.

When the Nasty Nats are parading down South Capitol with a second NL East banner I hope Magic Mike calls up Rollins and ask him how his azz tastes.

He's probably furious. Loria has wronged BGS.

If I were Jeff Loria I'd call up every out of work Miami Dolphin and Hurricanes player that's still in shape and hire them as bodyguards.  He might want to invest in a Pope Mobile too - hell hath no fury like a BGS scorned.

Exactly. He shouldn't. He should bow down to the National overlords.

Miguel Batista said his Mets, when he was playing for them, were the best team in baseball if I remember correctly.  People made fun of him for saying that.  Rollins has a better case, but it's still ridiculous to say.

Ruggiano should come out and hype up his team.

So Strasburg is on his last guaranteed year at the end of 2013. Time flies.

Davey Johnson told us he feels Henry Rodriguez will bounce back & impact their bullpen & he thinks that Christian Garcia can replace Jackson

Let's hope Rizzo signs someone and Garcia can be in the pen.

Garcia will never stay healthy long enough to be a starter. We'll be lucky if we can get a half season out of him in the pen.

HRod should not be anywhere close to the active roster.

Is Rizzo REALLY going to make Garcia a starter if push comes to shove? I just think it's all talk but maybe I'm wrong.

I'd just rather sign another starter.

Garcia will be as much of a starter as Lannan or Gorzo were in 2012, maybe less.  The team will be surprised to learn that starter X was available in January or February. You can never have too much competition, they'll say, and bring him into camp.  Garcia will impress, and Johnson will say favorable things.  Then it will come time to make a 25 man roster, and Rizzo will say we want Garcia to stay stretched out so we are sending him to Syracuse. He has options, and it's no reflection on how he pitched this spring.  It was strictly about what is best for the organization, and we opted to go with X for now.

Garcia needs to stay in the pen. We need good relief options.

Our weakness in the pen is on the lefty side, not the right.  I'm ok with Storen, Clippard, Mattheus, and Stammen, and if H-Rod really was only an injury problem, then we are in even better shape.  We trade Clippard, then maybe I agree about needing Garcia in the pen, but for now, he's probably the only internal option for 5th starter that is not going to cost several million if they go to arbitration.

Garcia starting isn't a very good option, but until we make a move, it might be the only option.
