feel bad for him, first rounder making a major league debut ends up being an afterthought

You're determined to be the loss-champion this season, aren't you?

I want to be just like that Nats fan who went 0-19 in games at Nats Park. Fortunately, there was a happy ending for him.

If he is a bad pitcher, don't worry, he'll have an amazing debut. If he is a good pitcher, he will get crushed by our lineup.

well, given how we hit against guys with 5+ ERAs, I'm excited to face someone who comes into the game with a 0.00.  At least it can't go down.

Can I retroactively give the game thread to someone else after the revelation that Nieves is catching this game?

Technically his era is undefined until he faces a batter.

This may be Lincoln's first trip to DC.  As a tourist, did anyone offer him a trip to Ford's Theatre?

He shouldn't miss Barry Farms, either.  Thriving marketplace.

How's the weather down in DC? It's rainy and awful up here

Hope they get the game in.

You should get Stras to sign it along with a pic of Milledge diving away from the second pitch.

That pitch will go down in Nationals history.  It should be capitalized.  The Second Pitch.

Did you find a watering hole to watch the game last night?

Missed most of the game last night (did get updates during) due to basketball practice.  When I got out at 8:45 listened on XM  heard SS strike out the 7 in a row. Was so superstitious that when I got home would only listen on XM and stayed away from WNFF to not mess up the game.

I gave up and bought a six pack and a burger from the Jackson Hole by my apartment. (http://www.jacksonholeburgers.com/ :icon_mrgreen: Guac burger. Yum.)

I think they were giving the game at a few of the bars in the neighborhood. But since I was on my own, I figured buying my own pack and taking it home was cheaper :money:

Rizzo really needs to be looking a possible backup catchers, before we actually need one.

Seeing Wil Nieves behind the plate fills me with dread.  :(
