Bypassing an opportunity to split Lannan from Olsen isn't making he hold him in higher regard.

What about robbing me of my opportunity to see Zim-uh-nah-nen? Now I have to play Crabrera drinking games on the red porch.

But what you said too. I wonder if they would have slotted Perez third if we had signed him.

New member here.  I posted my intro in the new member thread.

Given the recent (and long overdue) front office upheaval, I say no, not until the offseason at least.  Even if everyone plays up to potential, this is a 75-win team at best.  So I say let Acta finish out the season, since I don't think he is so bad that he will do long-term damage.

Welcome to the board.

I don't think I agree with your last statement. The longer the reins are in Acta's hands the more entrenched this ultimate feeling that these players don't have to take responsibility for their bad play, lack of production, and complete laziness (Milledge as an example). Yeah, Acta could be gone by the end of the season, but that feeling still remains with the players.

It needs to be cut off at the root and fixed as soon as possible or it's going to be hell on the next skipper. Sort of like the mess left to Obama, as a risky example on this board considering some of it's members.

Yeah, but the 2nd pitch was a slider low in the center of the strike zone, a clear strike but called a ball.  crappy umpiring, but he got one each way.

I thought he was tossed defending the called third strike on Hernandez -- either way the ump was pitiful -- we don't expect you to be perfect, but would it kill you to be consistent -- he had both benches up in arms -- he sucked

3-11 good enough for dead last in baseball.  the next closest team?  a bunch of teams at 5-9.

seriously, how many games this year so far can clearly be pinned on manny's decision making? not talking about lineup or not playing  your favorites. i mean games where a decision was the major factor in losing. i count 3 so far.

solid point.  i'm at above 3.  i'm not letting the team off the hook, b/c we've shot ourselves in the foot plenty of times, but manny has really been bad.  we should at worst be 6-8.

The one inning where he had Saul pitch to the heart of the philly lineup (rofles) and then to have Saul come in and try and close the fish -- I count two glaring ones ...
