A year or two ago a couple of early TDF stages were in Flanders...even in June it was cold and wet, with a strong wind coming off the north sea.
What really surprised me is how well their bikes held up on that terrain. Only one guy looked like he might have had a serious issue (blown rear wheel) but it turned out to be nothing. Can't wait to watch the TdF this year - bring on the cheaters.
