This month, I've noticed there are more stands at Nationals Park with Dominion Ale, Fordham Copperhead Ale, and Stella Artios.

In the Infield Gallery level those brands are available (along with Bass ale) from a bar on the inner concourse behind 304 or 305 - and it's the most popular beer bar up there.

The Dogfish Alehouse is having a beer dinner on Monday, December 8th in Falls Church.  They are also having a beer dinner in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, December 9th.  The dinners have always been superb.

In competition with that, Pizza Paradiso in Georgetown is having a beer dinner highlighting the 3Floyds brewery on Monday, December 8th. :glug:

I'm finally finding beers I actually enjoy. I find almost anything from Leinenkugel is awesome, especially their Honey Weiss.

Nothing beats Shiner Bock. Nothing. And I've had craft beers in Belgium. Call me crazy, I'd rather have a Shiner.

2nd best would have to be a dry hopping I had in Belgium.

Recently, I had a killer altbier from small brewery in NY, but I forgot what it was called :-[

I've been known to drink "affordable" beers as well.

I would beg to differ that nothing beats Shiner Bock, but to each his own. I look forward to enjoying the winter weather with a nice Brooklyn Choclate Stout tonight.

Pretty much everything Brooklyn brews tastes good - buts its like 11 dollars for a 6 pack due to the SOCIALIST liquor taxes in PA

Would you say the Brooklyn Chocolate Stout is better tasting than Young's?

Before moving to VA, I lived in NY and MA - I don't miss the beer taxes.

no, but its cheaper (slightly) and easier to find (I can pick up a six pack on the way to the metro with out having to drive to a store).

Young's is the real deal - there's a Young's pub on the Oxford campus!

I think there actually was a character in one of the older Bond movies that had the first name Honey.

I like the sampler packs you can get from the Honey Brown company - Dundee makes a bunch of tasty varieties - the Saranac sampler packs are even better - RAUCHBIER!

I'm going to have to find this Brooklyn stuff. I've seen other Brooklyns but never made note of chocolate stout.

I'm going to have to try to find some of that DFH Chickory Stout. It was good last winter. Better at the Rehoboth DFH. Eager to find it again.

I'm a pretty seasonal drinker.  I try to get Octoberfests while they are around, then the wintery stuff that tastes like christmas trees.  I can't remember from one beer to the next so its hard to have a favorite

I think its a 'seasonal' in that its seasonally stocked. Wholefoods in VA stocks it if you go early in the week, but it sells out

I'm lukewarm on the chicory stout.  I love the idea, but it seems whenever I taste it I've had something else before that makes the stout taste light-stoutish.  In other words, I was expecting more flavor.

There is nothing that can make the Brooklyn Chocolate Stout cower.

Tom, chicory is a mellowing agent.

Total Wine (Greenbriar shopping center) had lots of everything.  Brooklyn Stout, DFH Punkin Ale, lots of other obscure varietals.  Oh, and they have wine, cheese, quality peanuts, etc.
