I'd guess that Villone is intended to be the left-handed specialist (which is what Hinckley should have been). It's not sacrificing the future because to be honest with you Hinckley was not part of the future.
what the hell is it going to take to get hanrahan released?why are we trying so hard to keep him around?

Hinckley could be a left handed specialist for the future for 6 years. Splits shown below. If you are arguing that LOOGY's are a dime a dozen, then that's fine.
That six years thing is overrated when it comes to a LOOGY. LOOGY's come and go and don't need to be protected. That does not even take into account that Manny was not even using him as a LOOGY
We'll lets hope we wont be calling for Villones head in 2 days.
Fixed
We'll lets hope we wont be calling for Villones head in 2 weeks.
Hinckley failed in 2009 because he was allowed to face too many right handed hittersvs RHB 27PA 18AB 7H 9BB 3Kvs LHB 17PA 13AB 1H 2BB 1HBP 0KThe numbers against LHB are not great but using him against RHB was dumb
