Dunn. The 'defense' argument has been made tons of times but Dunn was fine at first. Its also an obvious choice because of his bat and how much better this lineup would be.

I really like LaRoche, but he's my 2nd choice of the available FA 1Bmen this past season.

BTW, when MLB quick pick ran the highlights of yesterday's game this morning, they showed LaRoche's HR but the woman doing the commentary called him Adam Dunn before quickly correcting herself.

Dunn. His offense is elite, period. Werth-Zimmerman-Dunn is a murderers' row. I can make up for his below average defense with plus defense at 2B (Espinosa), SS (Desmond, at times), 3B (Zimm), RF (Werth).

My dream scenario is Espinosa at SS, Lombardozzi at 2B, and Desmond in CF or something. A middle infield of two guys who can steal 20 bases, have a .350-.360 OBP, and hit for power/play good defense? drool.

Even though this isn't even a question offensively, I will say that whether it's LaRoche, Dunn, luck, or sample size, the reduction in jackass infield throwing errors has been pleasant.

I agree.  I voted for Dunn but if the infield defense stays at its current level or better throughout the season, I'd change my vote to LaRoche.

There have been a lot of undercurrents that the Nats FO didn't like Dunn's happy go lucky personality. I have no idea if there's anything there but those of us on the outside will probably never know.

I agree with this. Dunn is not a winner and he is a jerk.

LaRoche isn't the most rah-rah guy but is a good clubhouse guy and isn't an jerk.
