We're 9-2 against the Braves without Medlen. He's only going to start one game ...

Don't want to face the Braves. Think I'd rather face the Cards. Their rotation is much more beatable as is their closer/bullpen.

Having to face Medlen in game 3 at home would really suck.

Jimmy Rollins sums up season by saying Phils simply weren't healthy. "With us being healthy, (Washington) is in second place." #Phillies

What a nag.  He was healthy all year and sucked total dick.  Give it up Rollins, your team is old and isn't producing like it did before.  Infuse some youth in there or let the Nats and Braves play for the next decade.

I don't understand what he's saying. Why would the Phillies being healthier let the Braves win the division?

You're done Rollins.

Nope, I'll take Braves.  No Medlen to start against us, AND they are not the best team against lefties.  Both teams have power, but the Braves I feel have more holes than the cards do.  Lineup wise that is.  Braves have better relief pitching.

We're the #1 seed.  Bring it.  Medlen has as much play off experience as Detwiler, who he'll be facing and has been nails at home all year.  Just split the first two and I'll take my chances.

Just confirming that he's a no-class loser. Just like his fanbase.

I'm convinced everyone in Philadelphia is delusional. Phillies are old and they suck, freak them - enjoy the off-season nag

Nats are the best team in the league - get used to it -

suck on that Jimmy

I have no doubt that we're the more complete team.  I just hope that the Pirates cooled them off so they don't come in red hot against us.

As long as we win one in Atlanta, I'm fine.  If we go down 2-0 and have to face Medlen in Game 3, I'll be pretty nervous.

I am sure this has already been discussed but what happens to Carp and FP during the playoffs? Are they basically done for the year? I hope both are back for next year.

They'll be helping with pre/post game shows on MASN, but they won't be broadcasting any games.

They will be on Masn for an hour before and an hour after each playoff game with Kristina, and I am assuming Knight and Holliday.

Powerboater, I think this would be a good heading for this thread come Sunday:

Fillies fans remind me of Angelos, the owner who insisted he owned all of Washington for his transplant St Louis Browns now calling themselves the Baltimore Orioles. Angelos who refused to allow the Expos to be moved to Washington unless Baltimore could own broadcasts to Nationals games.

On second thought, it might be better to have the magic number at 3 and reset it when and if the Nats advance to the NLCS.
