Quote
The Toronto Star reports, and Jose Bautista confirms, that the Blue Jays slugger has been boycotting Sportsnet since the broadcaster forced rookie Devon Travis to pay for a suit he purchased as part of a “makeover” segment aired three months ago.

Bautista has avoided giving Sportsnet, the official broadcaster of the Jays, any interviews since the May 19 segment, even as he has spoken to other outlets. He’s told executives that his boycott will continue until Travis is reimbursed for the cost of a designer suit he purchased at a Toronto-area retailer, since he believes Travis—making the MLB minimum—won’t complain himself.

could get interesting in the playoffs if the team's star won't speak to the broadcaster's reporters

Jose seems like a cool dude. He has a team option this year, I believe. If AA lets him go...

For $14 million letting him go would be a fireable offense. :)

You have no idea how big, evil, and stubborn the Rogers corporation is. They'd absolutely cut off their Josés to spite their faces.

He has deserved it for years. Yeah, signing guys like Nellie and Iwakuma as well as extending Seager and Felix were good moves, but he has no idea how to create a functional offense.

Reading the comments on Lookout Landing are kind of depressing.  M's fans have no confidence in that franchise.  It's basically what we felt under Kasten.

Alec Asher making his debut for the Phillies today; fifth pitcher to debut for them this year.  He has stitches tatooed on his elbow in honor of the TJ surgery he had at 14.  Seems well overdue for his second TJ surgery?

Can we let it soak in that the Phillies have debuted fewer pitchers this year than the Nationals?

There's are all starters though; 5 starters is unheard of I think.  2 from the Texas trade.  The best of the lot of pitchers in that trade is Jake Thompson and he has been great in Double A.  Some chance he will make his debut in September although I suspect they will rest him in September given his high prospect status.
