You tell me:

http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/gl.cgi?id=detwiro01&t=p&year=2011

I see the same inconsistent, hard-on-the-bullpen guy that he's always been for us.  Regardless, people seem to be getting prematurely excited about him after berating everyone who questioned his place in the rotation.  Especially considering that he's just a placeholder for Wang.

I don't think I've said anything about Detwiler, but I noticed positive changes in him last year after his mechanical adjustments and I'm hoping he can put it all together this season.

Right, Tom, no bragging until the end of the game.
Weaseling is not admitting when you're wrong.  Bragging about how right you were after 4 innings is just stupid.

He is a former first rounder, which implies a really nice talent level.  Yes, he's been quite a while putting it all together, but I'm really liking what he's showing this season so far, including what the club saw in him this spring.

And this start is very encouraging.  I really like what I see so far.

Absolutely.  I just can't help ridiculing the people who chirp at LoD for "small sample sizes" beating their chests after 4 innings.

His name would be Rick Eckstein.  I really hope they fire him at some point.

Please point out the bragging.  Not sure what you could be referring to.

Huh?  1 1/2 hours in and we're already more than halfway done.

71 pitches through 5, third time through the order starting next inning.  Here is where Detwiler can really prove he has turned a corner in his development.

I have a feeling we'll be begging for a lot of runs this year.

Really impressive for Det considering the first inning he had to have had like 20-25 pitches.
