I just don't understand how someone who is so serviceable in a long relief role can be so awful at starting.

I think he leaves teams in a state of disbelief at his super slow fastball when he's a reliever. When they expect it from the beginning, he's left w/ nothing.

Either way, why the hell is he starting?  He clearly sucks in the role.

I turn on the game, saw the score, and figured Bacsik was starting.
So worthless.

I'm hoping it's because they don't care about him. I know that sounds mean, but I hope it's true. We need to save all those that will be here next season. No chances on a season that is all but over. It'd suck to lose someone at this point.

IN all seriousness, i'm not shocked at all whats happening to nite. Its almost expected when Bacsik starts. I expect nothin less from him. I conceded this game in tha first inning .

Um... you can't say "hell" or "sucks" "freaking" or "blows" in tonight's Game Thread.  It's the annual Nice Game Thread Night, to attract newbies.

Oh pshaw. Whilst driving home, the Metropolitans scored three runs to take a 4-0 lead.  They will certainly be disappointed when our Nationals take the lead away.  ...TWO home runs to the same player? Oh dear!  Mikey is going to have to work on that little problem, on the Giants payroll next year.

Bacsik 0
Mets 5

At least Frazier is on TV tonight!

I believe that is the official end to Mike Bacsik's ML career.

Is this Bacsik's worst start of the season?  It sure feels like it.

You may as well have just started Hanrahan. At least then the game would have been 0-0 when he came in.

I believe the same is true for Hanrahan. I don't mind him as much as Bacsik, though.
