That was crushed

Can you imagine how powerful Morse would be if he held the bat with ten fingers?

Was that rookie pitcher just crying like a little nag?

The Braves announcers are ignorant freaks.

They just did a little thing about Comeback Player of the Year.  The four possibilities were Medlen, Strasburg, Posey and LaRoche.  The play by play idiot eliminated Strasburg ("If you'd play the whole year, maybe") and LaRoche ("I love LaRoche but no.")  Then he says in order to win CPoY you have to have comeback from an injury and not just comeback from a bad season.

Idiot.

Clearly, Davey is willing to sacrifice this game.  The bullpen should have been up at the start of the inning and Gio should have been out after the Rollins hit.

There is no more time to freak around and wait.  There are too few games left.

Fire Davey!!!

I was wondering too. Might just be exhausted, physically or mentally.

Brutish.  I prefer to watch strong men maul baseballs over hurting their fellow man.

Wow dude. Don't trip on those high heels.

There are now two CPotY awards.    The original Sporting News and a new (since 2005) MLB one.   And, correct, there is no requirement that it be after an injury.

:lmao:

Too bad the Mets started Dickey today (to give him one last start at $iti Field) instead of in his normal spot tomorrow against the Barves.

I used to enjoy the crushing hits, but knowing the after-effects on the brain?  I can't ignore something that kills athletes.  Modern day gladiators.

As an old Pirates fan, it breaks my heart.

I think I am finally over them...that organization is pitiful top to bottom.  Almost 20 yrs of losing and two straight collapses like that, almost Cub worthy.

on the other hand

C'mon FP, "longest HR in PA"....ever hear of a guy named Stargell???

That's awesome.  That city deserves at least one team that sucks considering all the success the other teams have (and how annoying Pittsburgh fans that live in this area are).
