He was also proclaiming victory (or something like that) after the Nats went up 6-0.  Damn him.

Good amount. Don't need to run over. But go today if you want your size.

Will be going back tomorrow to snag some more stuff for an out of town friend.

Got a hoodie, shirt, and 2012 playoff mag for 45 bucks. Not bad. Was hoping they would have the fitted away hat with the postseason logo, but no luck.

Speaking of which, anybody know where I can get the throwback uni, like the one they wore against the Giants? Can't find it online and team store was sold out. Am I just SOL?

Got a sweatshirt, didn't really need one, but it'll be cool to pull out of the closet every once and a while.

If you have a slow day, read this thread from the beginning. I just looked at page 1. Amazing journey from there and then to here and now.

Some classic lines in the first page or so.  All that hate/trolling for a team that was about to go out and win 98 games.

Is the natitude slogan a permanent thing?  Will this thread stay around through the offseason and into next year?

Having a "junk drawer" thread seemed to work this year for the minutiae and the periphery items so I was planning on rebooting it at some point this off-season.  Based on the history of the team having a new slogan for each season, Natitude will probably be retired, with the slogan being released with the Spring Training season ticket packages.

Natitude was ridiculed at first by many, including me. But it was a huge hit. Became part of the lexicon.

Lots of angst about the Fielder saga, who knows, probably we'd still be playing if we'd signed him.

The focus of this thread is on bashing ownership and management for a complete lack of offseason moves.  It will be considered trolling to post a comment about advanced statistics.  It will be assumed that the team will have a budget somewhere in the $45 - $55 MM range, so "sign anybody" will be assumed to be trolling too.  Posts should be focused on discussion of missed opportunities, worthless trades, and other general unfounded attacks on the old man who can easily afford to have us all disappear under a major construction site.  Comments on various players and how they prefer to play for any other MLB team will be welcome, especially if they focus on their baseball abilities and general common sense.

If you want to substantive dialog, then please post in the Ballpark Guys forum.

Great article.  So other teams are starting to hate us because we run our team in a new, different, and better way?  Pathetic.

Everything except what we did would have resulted in a better outcome.
