Nationals @ Padres, Game 3

ACHTUNG! BITTE LESEN:

I have no idea where he would have gotten ahold of German whale anatomy pictures. But you and I are mature adults; we've both seen our share of cetacean materials.
Oh, you never have? Of course you haven't, how stupid of me. Neither have I. I was just speaking in generalities.

Somehow I find this game thread as oddly compelling as it is just plain odd.  Nice work?   :panic:

/I don't remember German whales in any of the P&F dimensions

Not really, I just thought Ron Burgundy was the type of guy who would bat clean-up.

@bomf: remember the episode where Doofenshmirtz insults the macaroni-and-cheese recipe of a whale?

Would he ever, he'd probably bat lead off, 2nd and third before that since he is the man

For Nats fans in Radioland: Since tonight is the Wizards' season finale (vs Heat, tip-off 20.00), tonight's Padres finale is the last time this season that the Nats will get seconded to AM-1500 (or AM-1580) because of Wizards matches - and continued Caps playoff matches shouldn't matter because the Caps are only on AM-1500 (unless somehow they get bumped up to 106.7 if they make a really deep run - would depend, as with the Wizards conflicts, on whatever pecking order is in the various teams' broadcast agreements).

Starting with tomorrow's Dodger opener, all remaining Nats matches - with the possible exception noted - will be on clear-reception FM-106.7.

If I recall aright, the Wizards got onto FM-106.7 before the Nats did, and thus probably got their right-of-first-refusal on access to the FM dial in that fashion. Hopefully something can be worked out in future deals where conflict days are divided up evenly (the way it was when the Capitals and Wizards were both on AM-980); thankfully there aren't that many Nats/Wizards conflict days since there isn't that much overlap between the seasons (at least until the Wizards return to the playoffs, which won't be for a while yet).

Do you mean to score the game?  If so, I use this site to print them off.

potentially history making game tonight - no other team in D.C. baseball history has ever opened a season 15-4 or better.

Vaguely familiar, maybe.  I'll ask the kids if they know that one.  I'm old school:  whales make me think of petunias and Star Trek IV:)

Where is Rizzo???????

Inge, an All-Star in 2009, has two 27-homer seasons to his name. He has considerable MLB experience at third, catcher and center field, plus recent experience as a second baseman. I'd be surprised if teams view him as anything but a third baseman, though. Inge will earn $5.5MM this season and his contract includes a $6MM club option ($500K) buyout for 2012. Any team that signs him would only owe him a pro-rated portion of the MLB minimum for the remainder of the season. Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com first reported the news (Twitter links).

Hello!
Who Am I?
Where Am I?
What do I mean 'Who am I?' 'Where am I?'
What's this big blue thing coming toward me very fast?
Very Very Fast?
Well I better start finding names for these things....

Love it. I'm enjoying this season and hope it continues to get better and better. We've got the pitching now we need HOT BATS STAT. Espeically since Morse isn't back yet and Z-Man is a bit bruised.
