I guess my advice is next time you finish at the #1 seed in the NL, maybe push your chips to the middle of the table and try to win something. Don't shelf your best pitcher in hopes that you get back to that spot a year or years later. So stupid.

You can make anything seem stupid if you completely ignore their arguments

You'll watch tomorrow. We all will. This has been an UNREAL season either way.

It has been a great season. It has. But to get blown out like this. Just...frustrating. Very, very frustrating. Too painful to watch. I don't want to be in a pissy mood for my wedding this weekend :)

Desmond is just hitting. He needs to be in the 5 spot scoring these runs.

Say what you want, but Zim, Werth, and Desi showed up today.

I really wish Ian had been bumped up to the 5 slot

Ian Desmond is playing like the only player on our roster who's done this before.

I was wrong about Ian Desmond.

What's he going to do on the mound? Is he gonna play soft toss to himself and hit line drives?

If that's the case, shouldn't the starters be pitching better now because they were "underused"?

If the pitchers were groomed to take on a bigger work-load, yes.  But again, no Strasburg.

The Braves were in a similar situation and waited too long to get Medlen started. They couldn't overcome the deficit they put themselves in.

No one will agree with me, probably, but I'd rather see a 86+ win team year over year than a WS champ one year and mediocrity in the following years, and I think that's what Rizzo was going for.
