Potential franchise QBs don't come around every year, so they paid the price to move up to get one. Don't look at the difference between a 6 and a 2, look at the difference between RG3 and whoever they could have had at 6. If you believe RG is another Newton or Vick, the price isn't that exhorbitant.
It also defines what style of offense the Redskins are going to run. Stop the revolving door of different offensive philosophies/schemes the team as seemingly embraced over the past decade.
