isnt crystal city yellow line?
As far as orange line spots go, trusty's at potomac ave is a new pretty low key bar (as in not crowded). they are kinda going for the dive effect. you can most likely get a spot at the bar. beer is reasonable priced. you can get a pitcher for 10-12 bucks. they have an assortment of sausages on their limited menu, cooked right in front of your eyes by the bartenders/cooks. although the sausages are not big (they are only 5 or 6 bucks though). half smokes are crappy there. they might have decent burgers. they might have happy hour specials though.
then the next stop is eastern market with the all the old fairly similar bars (tune inn, hawk and dove, pour house, capitol lounge). will be more crowded than than trusty's. probably too crowded if you just want to watch a game.
capitol hill/eastern market/penn ave usually has pretty good happy hours due to all the young staffers looking to eat cheap.
this might provide some insight or just google search
http://www.dchappyhours.com/if you want to guarantee yourself a seat for the whole game at the bar or a table and not watch the game with Bon Jovi blaring and possibly try to chat up the bartender/others at the bar and maybe maybe talk nats, I'd go to Trusty's. Closest bar to RFK.
