so we need a 1B if they are going to keep him out there.

I don't think they intend to keep him out there once LaRoche is traded or has his contract run out unless they use one of those other guys to fill the position.  It's not going to be Fielder.  It's more likely to be one of those other 4 or Morse.

wtf are you smoking.  he has a high obp and average.

Look back at your original statement regarding with Prince would bring to the team.  The problem is we don't get on-base and when guys do get on-base we can't drive them in.  He can only do one at time.

and that's the wrong move, imo.

yeah no crap sherlock.  but he can also GET ON BASE so the guy after him can drive him in.  (in addition to driving in runs himself) ... not that hard to understand.

That may very well be.  It all will depends on how the others live up to their projections.

Which is what I'm afraid of and why I'm very adamant with signing Fielder. I guess anything can happen though.

Can someone post some of Hammonds classics from the "Worst Offensive Performance" threads about stranded baserunners for me?

C: Ramos/Norris
1b: Fielder

SS: Espinosa
3b: Zimmerman
LF: Morse/Hood
CF: Werth
RF: Harper

Who the freak leads off? Oh, it doesn't matter. Everyone in that lineup can mash homers all day.

I think we should try to trade Desmond to the Cards for Jon Jay. I like that dude.

Morse, Rendon, Espinosa, Zim is pretty special too.  With Harper, Werth and an OF TBNL will be a pretty scary lineup.

a) eckstein sucks
b) oh more runners left stranded
c) why is bernadina on the team and don't give me that crap because he has two fans in shark suits
d) the lerners are cheap
e) oh cool even more runners left stranded
f) eckstein is the worst coach in baseball
g) our offense is awful.

It definitely is. I mean we could always slot in Hood, who looks to be the best bet, in LF and Morse at 1b. But again, it all depends on projections and such.

Trade Desmond straight up.  Maybe throw in Slaten.

yeah but i'd rather have a line-up with morse AND fielder.  as i've said this past week imagine this as the heart of the line-up:

3. Zimmerman
4. Fielder (L)
5. Morse
6. Harper (L)

You guys just keep clowning on Big Mike Stanton®.  When he strikes out swinging on a 98 mph Strasburg heater you'll know he means business!!!
