Which theory?

Call up the youngsters when they're hot. I hate when they wait too long. I think careers can be destroyed if you don't time their call-up correctly.

Sort of OT, but has anyone ever seen a double steal in the Major League?

The Orioles do it pretty often if Roberts is on second.

MLB Gameday hates us. Votto's home run just now is the only video they've uploaded all day.

Kinda weird since hes leading the team in steals.
He's 13 for 19 (68.4%).

Its a good theory, what would you say about players that seem to be on the tail end of a hot streak?

I dunno, 94 is nice given the kid is what, 22 years old? Better than if he was throwing 74 down the middle.

I have never seen it before, it is something I have always wanted to witness.

walks don't help the Reds any though, so it doesn't matter.

Depends on their age/experience, I guess. If we didn't have so many outfelders already, I would have liked us to give L. Davis a shot here while he was on fire. Dude was raking. Now..who knows? He might never get it together again.

Adam Dunn is now 1-for-8 this series with 3 K's and 3 BB's.

decent outing.  solid start, but got tired in the last inning there.  unlucky not getting that strike 3 call and the weak grounder to short.  but i'll take it.

In certain situations they do and certain situations they are meaningless. All walks are not the same. Some help more than others obviously.

If they have the right replay angle, it looks pretty cool. The guy going from 1st to 2nd can pretty much jog.

Big test for Shell. He hasn't pitched in many close games. Hope he steps up to the challenge.

Walks certainly help more than getting out.
