Only have to play ~ .500 ball to avoid 100 losses!

the Cubs need some wins to get back in the WC race.

We are going against Zambrano tonight, then Harden, then Wells.

We suck on the road.

We suck as a team.

We have Mock (who has been really good recently, but still scares me), Martin (same as Mock), and recently undependable John Lannan.

If we win one game of this series I will be happy.

It looks like we'll miss Carpenter in St. Louis but we'll probably get Wainwright on Sunday.  The other two starters have yet to be announced.  Lohse will probably be one of them.  Dont know if they'll keep Smoltz in the rotation or not...

I thought Smoltz was supposed to get a start.

He got one the other day vs. San Diego.  There was talk it might just be a one game spot start before a move to the bullpen.  But he looked pretty sharp, but they haven't announced officially what they'll do yet.  We'll see.

If Zim, Dunn or Morgan get a day off in St. Louis, I'm gonna be .

likewise monday.  but then again i get to see this team a lot more live in person, so i don't have much room to complain.  but it's more fun when you have the regulars out there (although at 2nd/catcher we really don't have regulars).

Soriano's been scratched from the lineup, due to a lingering knee boo-boo.

I just read that Nick Johnson is going on the DL.
I really feel for him. He just can't stay healthy.
