Hi folks!  I'm a Nats fan from central Va. near Charlottesville.  I've always been around the MLB.com board but never posted much because of the "Zimmey Factor".  From what I've read here so far it seems like the place to be for real Washington baseball fans.

Welcome, and love the username!

Hi my name is John & I'm a baseballholic. I live on Capitol Hill  within walking distance of both RFK & Yet to be Named Park (My vote is for: "Where the f*ck is the parking? at RFK Stadium").

I'm Paul originally from Kensington and have lived in East Silver Spring since '84.  Went to UMD for undergrad and grad school and still a big Terp fan.  Only 3 miles from campus.  Try to play as much golf as possible.
Big Senators fan especially the '69 team with Frank, Epstein, Eddie Brinkman, Ken McMillen, Paul Casanova, Hank Allen, Bernie Allen etc...  Use to love Chuck Hinton, Don Lock, Jim King, Roy Sievers etc ... in previous years.  The '69 team was so fun because of Ted Williams pumping life into the team and winning 86 games.  Got to be a bat boy in '71 for a game which was a blast.

Hey Oakview!

Grew up in Kensington?  Did you go to WJ?  I graduated in 1977, my brother in 1976.  We sound sorta from the same era.  I became a fan of the Senators in 69!

I live in Prince William VA now.  Welcome to the board!

Welcome, Paul.  Those Nats names you mention are the guys I remember, too.  When were you at Md.?  I graduated in 1980.

Thanks for the welcome!
I graduated from UMD in '75 and then went to grad school from '79-'83.  For the first couple years of undergrad I lived at home and commuted and was not fun.  Then I lived at the Phi Kappa Alpha house during junior and some of senior year which was a blast.  Being there for Lefty's first years was unbelievable.  Before Lefty came I was a big Will Hetzel fan then of McMillen and Elmore took over.  Football was fun once Clairborne came.   Grad school was much more intimate and a chance to really learn.  Now undergrad school is so much different with less kids than when I went and a lot smarter too!

My name is Bryan and I'm 18 and I live in Calvert County, MD. Also, I've been vending lemonade at the stadium until now...when I got a job with my mom at Homeland Security. I will be at the game august 16 sitting in section 108.

Welcome aboard Bryan, may your stay here be as strong as we all hope the Nats will soon be...

BTW, while you're with Homeland Security, could you keep an eye on my part of Canada?

Hey Bryan, welcome to the fan forum.  Last night, sitting in 213, every young lemonade vendor I saw, I was wondering if it was you.  Maybe you should wear some secret identifying article of clothing, so that members of our community here will know you are one of "ours".

Cheers!
